20% More Mortgages Available Since March

Latest figures from Moneyfacts show that since March the amount of mortgages available on the UK market has increased by 20%. In the last year the number has risen from 1,484 to 2,624. Skipton BS is the first lender in almost two years to have a 95% LTV mortgage on in their range. A two-year fixed rate mortgage for first-time buyers starts at 7.19% Co-op Britannia has cut its loans by 0.5% and offers a two-year fixed rate at 2.95% and a five-year deal at 3.99%. Both require a deposit of at least 25%.
